Slow  Balboa

Phil and Sue invite you to come along to the new Slow Swing Summer School being held at:

Gambier Parry Hall, Highnam Community Centre, Highnam GL2 8DF

Phil, Sue and Keith (guesting from Cheltenham Swing Dance) will be teaching this summer on the following Tuesday evenings:

4th August, 11th August, 18th August and 25th August 2026

Doors open  7.00 pm

1st class       7.10 - 8.00 pm

Practice       8.00 - 8.20 pm

2nd class     8.20 - 9.15 pm

Practice       9.15 - 9.30 pm

This short series of classes will be:

·         Covering the fundamentals of dancing to slow swing music with a focus on Slow Balboa

·         Exploring the connection between Slow Balboa and Lindy Hop

·         Reviewing some of the material from our 2026 Slow Bal Sundays

All levels are welcome. We will do our best to structure the material to suit the ability and experience of all participants. It will definitely be fun.

Whether you are an experienced Slow Bal dancer or just a swing dancer wishing to feel more confident when slower swing tunes are played, there will be something for you.
