Cotswold Balboa, in association with the Balboa Bunch, are thrilled to present our very first Cotswold Balboa Weekender - a full weekend of inspiring classes and joyful social dancing, taught by the fantastic Anna‑Maria and Ralf Bernhard.

Whether you’re looking to sharpen your technique, expand your repertoire, or simply spend two days immersed in beautiful Balboa, this is the event to mark in your calendar.

What’s Happening

Workshops – Saturday & Sunday  

10:30-16:00 both days

A full programme of intermediate‑level Balboa classes, taught by two world‑class instructors. Expect clear technique, musicality, connection, and plenty of time to rest, chat, and recharge between sessions.

Saturday Evening Dance – Live Band!  

20:00-23:30

Dance the night away to the brilliant Moonlighting, bringing you a rich mix of swing tunes perfect for Balboa.

Sunday Tea Dance  

16:15–18:00

Round off the weekend with a relaxed social dance, great music, friendly faces — and yes, plenty of cake.

Level – Intermediate

This weekender is designed for dancers with 2–3 years of Balboa experience who are comfortable with the core vocabulary - Come‑arounds, Throw-outs, Swivels, Lollies, and solid Pure Balboa basics.

You should be able to give and receive clear lead/follow signals through frame and weight changes, and enjoy social dancing at medium to fast tempos (around 180-220 bpm) while maintaining rhythm, balance, and connection.
