Booktalks with
Stephanie Sendaula

Join us on March 30th at 4 PM (est), where Stephanie Senduala will facilitate her highly requested Navigating Banned/Challenged Books lecture!

"For both new and veteran librarians, dealing with banned or challenged books can be overwhelming. Get advice on where to start with this in-depth session on how to best navigate intellectual freedom, censorship, and more—in accessible terms. The training will offer a series of resources that school and public librarians can use to advocate for themselves, and will provide advice on developing written guidelines that LIS professionals can bring to superiors or library boards."

Our last facilitation of this event was highly informative and helpful to librarians of varying experience levels, LIS students, and educators.

To attend this session, we are requesting a small donation of $10 to the Augusta Baker's Dozen Fund. This fund allows us to host our numerous lecture series and initiatives, including but not limited to the Augusta Baker's Diversity Lecture Series, the Critical Conversation Lecture series, and the Augusta Baker Scholars program.
