Why use Microsoft Teams?

Microsoft Teams is one of my favorite tools for collaboration and communication in the classroom.

A team is a group of people. Teams has four options - class, professional learning community, staff and other.

When creating a team, each team generates a code that must be given to whoever you want in the team. Teams creates one place for a calendar, a turn-in for assignments, feedback on assignments, and insights so the teacher can understand student progress. Meetings allow virtual classes to occur via video chat and text chat. Team members receive e-mails if they are inactive on Teams, so communication is failsafe.

Teams has a lot of plug-ins with Microsoft products and many apps you already use.

In fact, Teams can act as its own micro learning management system. Below are some resources for getting started with Microsoft Teams. Please let me know if you'd like to schedule any one-on-one time to discuss this great tool.
