Bienvenue!         Welcome!

Melinda Bailey is the instructional technology specialist at Glasgow Middle School, with over fourteen years of experience as a secondary French teacher and tech coach. Melinda has taught in Alabama and Louisiana. She has also worked with the University of Alabama Regional In-Service Center, presented at multiple state and national conferences, including the Louisiana Association of Computer Using Educators (LACUE), the American Council of Foreign Language Teachers (ACTFL) and the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE), in addition to collaborating with colleagues on best practices of edtech in the classroom.

Melinda is passionate about equipping teachers to use instructional technology with research-based practices, not trends. An avid user of technology in the classroom since 2009, she believes there is always something new to learn. She pursues innovation for all educational stakeholders, especially teachers and students.

Melinda is always researching and curating resources to help implement instructional technology in meaningful ways. She was integral in the development and deployment of Tuscaloosa City School's Digital Transformation and is excited to bring her experience in a variety of classrooms and schools, including public and private, to her team at the best middle school in East Baton Rouge Parish.

While Melinda enjoys helping teachers in their endeavor for professional growth in the use of edtech, she also enjoys helping teachers use technology to improve self-efficacy in organization and every day tasks.
