We are always accepting applications for undergraduate research assistants at the University of Oregon, depending on the needs of the lab at any given time.

Dr. Bai will be admitting a clinical psychology doctoral student to be co-mentored with Dr. Pfeifer. Applications will be reviewed in Fall 2026, and the student is expected to start in Fall 2027.

To be considered, applicants should indicate interest in co-mentorship by identifying Dr. Pfeifer as their first-choice and Dr. Bai as their second-choice advisors on the application portal.  

Dr. Bai plans to co-mentor with Dr. Pfeifer, a student who has research experience and interests in the following topics: transitions from childhood through adolescence into adulthood; social, affective, and regulatory processes during adolescence; peer and family relationships during adolescence. Our translational research leverages longitudinal methods – both traditional and intensive, and span multiple units of analysis (i.e., neurobiology to observable behavior). We encourage applications from students who are interested in examining how endogenous and exogenous factors such as pubertal development and stress shapes brain development and/or risk for psychopathology. The student will complete at least one empirical project in each lab.
