As part of my teaching practicum at NEUST, I had the privilege of immersing myself in the teaching process, where I taught electronics for senior high school students and thermodynamics for college students. Reflecting on the experience, I will summarize the key aspects of the practicum, including the purpose, procedures, outcomes, challenges, impressions, and suggestions for future improvement.
The primary purpose of my practicum was to apply the theoretical knowledge I gained from my Physics Education Program in a real-world classroom setting, allowing me to practice and refine my teaching skills. I aimed to develop practical teaching strategies, gain classroom management experience, and create engaging lesson plans tailored to the needs of both high school and college students.
Outcome: The practicum fully met my expectations. I successfully applied pedagogical techniques, experimented with various teaching methods, and enhanced my ability to convey complex scientific concepts in an accessible and engaging manner. The hands-on experience in electronics and thermodynamics expanded my understanding of teaching methodologies, and I was able to incorporate both theoretical and practical elements into my lessons.
