BAF Shaheen College Dhaka, established in 1960, is one of the premier educational institutions in Bangladesh. Originally founded to provide quality education to the children of Bangladesh Air Force personnel, the college has grown to accommodate students from diverse backgrounds, maintaining a tradition of academic excellence and holistic development.

Inscribed within the seal is the college's guiding motto: "Education-Restraint-Discipline." 

At the heart of the seal is the emblem of the Bangladesh Air Force, featuring the Bangladesh Air Force emblem. It signifies the college's connection to the Air Force and represents honor, discipline, and service.

The Book and Torch, these symbols represent knowledge and enlightenment. The book stands for learning and wisdom, while the torch symbolizes education lighting the way from ignorance.

Currently, Group Captain Md Mahbub Ahmed Choudhury, afwc, psc, GD(P), stands at the helm of BAF Shaheen College Dhaka as its esteemed Principal. His distinguished career in the Bangladesh Air Force reflects a profound dedication to duty, discipline, and leadership. With a clear vision and unwavering commitment to educational excellence, Group Captain Choudhury nurtures an environment where students are inspired to reach their highest potential. "BAF Shaheen College Dhaka is a well renowned educational institution under Ministry of Education, Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Directorates, Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Dhaka. It is  very successfully run by Bangladesh Air Force. It’s one of the seven Shaheen Colleges currently run in Bangladesh. The motto of this college is ‘Education – Restraint - Discipline’. The activities of this institution are run to materialize the motto with reverence. Each and every student of this institution is called a ‘Shaheen’ . Shaheen is a fetterless bird. It perambulates with free thinking, immaculate environment and bravery around human sphere. The future citizens of the progressive society will be well educated, restrained in behavior and sense of life as well as disciplined in life leading. That is why our motto is  ‘Education – Restraint - Discipline’. Besides academic education, we also focus on cultural exercise, sports and several co-curricular activities. Our aim is to make a student educated with philanthropic quality, honest, devoted and patriot citizen.This college has two large playgrounds, a national standard hockey turf, a very beautiful basketball ground and a unique squash court. It has laboratories for practical classes. For enriching technological skill, there are two well-equipped modern computer labs. Besides, there is a library  enriched with thousands of updated books. For literary and cultural activities, there is a unique auditorium decorated with ultra-modern instrumental facilities. For regular teaching, there are sufficient class rooms with modern amenities. In its vat campus, there is literally a gorgeous lawn enriched with well-arranged trees that have made the campus more eye catching. The institution continues to advance with an unstoppable momentum, contributing to the progress of Bangladesh. Inspired by the universal education policy of the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, BAF Shaheen College Dhaka remains dedicated and committed to nurturing the knowledge and creativity of students through meticulous care and practice, with the aspiration of building the golden Bengal of dreams.In addition to traditional education, the institution is committed to encouraging students to participate in life-oriented education, co-curricular activities, and various club activities. Currently, the school operates in two shifts: Morning and Day. To enhance the discipline of the college, there is a Vice-Principal (Administration) and a College Adjutant. During college hours, two Provosts oversee student discipline. Additionally, there are modern facilities like a well-decorated guardian waiting room, a primary healthcare center, multimedia classrooms, labs, a canteen, the college's traditional sundial, and a Shaheed Minar. A visually appealing 12-story college building is under construction. Moreover, the work of beautifying the college and infrastructural development is ongoing. There is a help desk to provide communication services between guardians and the college authorities. To ensure affordable, clean, and quality food for the students, there are three canteens, including one named Eagles Delight, supervised by the Air Force Base Bashar.Above all, in this era of modern information technology, I believe this website will assist all teachers, guardians, and students by providing all the necessary information from the college authorities."
