The Minneapolis Lakers are an American professional basketball team based in Minneapolis. The Lakers compete in the National Basketball Association as a member of the Central Division of the Eastern Conference. The team plays its home games at the Target Center. The Lakers moved back to Minneapolis from Los Angeles in 2024. The Los Angeles Stars were formed in L.A. to replace the Lakers.
