This project is based on the Google Innovator Program 2017 Sweden.

이 프로그램은 2017년 스웨덴 구글 이노베이터 프로그램을 위해 제작되었습니다.

The initial aim was to bring virtual reality (VR) to classroom in dental education.

이를 통해 치과 교육에 가상 현실을 구현하고자 노력하였습니다.

During the program, the original plan has been modified and the contents has been narrowed down to only dental suture techniques.

프로그램 진행 중 초기 컨텐츠들을 수정하였고 오로지 치과 봉합술에만 내용을 집중하기로 하였습니다.

Using the recently developed two-eyed camera (Lenovo Mirage), I was able to record the basic suture procedure so that the viewers could better understand the rotations and hand movements.

최근 개발된 양안식 카메라를 이용해서 깊이감을 가진 영상 제작이 가능해졌고 이를 유튜브에 올려 손의 회전이나 움직임을 시청자들이 더 잘 이용할 수 있게 되었습니다.

You need:

Virtual reality (VR) can students and clinicians learn better dental suture techniques, however, the technology required to achieve this was never easy to equip with. So as a Google Innovator, I had done some research and finally I found that two-eye camera (Google has made ones in collaboration with Lenovo recently). This camera can bring depth and reality to videos and Youtube app on smartphones can just realize the reality that I wished for with Google Cardboard or Daydream.

So, get your Cardboard or DayDream and Smartphone to travel BACK TO THE SUTURE !!!

In order to view following VR images properly, you should use your SMARTPHONE and you should watch it with YOUTUBE app.

(Option 1: click the play button first, then click Youtube logo. It will bring you to YOUTUBE app.)

(Option 2: click SHARE button, then choose the YOUTUBE app from the list.)

1. Google Cardboard

This is the basic version of Head Mount Device (HMD). Put your smartphone with Youtube app and move your head around. VR has never been so easy!!

2. Google Daydream

DayDream is a upgraded version of Cardboard. It has controller unit and better resolution. NFC allows better connection with the smarphone. The DayDream requires certain versions of the latest Smarphones.

3. Mirage VR180

This camera is not like previous 360 video cameras which has two lens facing different directions.

Two eyed cameras allows the depth perception from Google Cardboard or Daydream.

This tool is ideal for providing depth and reality.
