Poznań

Poznań is the fifth-largest and one of the oldest cities in Poland. Is located in west-central Poland within the Greater Poland region. The city is an important cultural and business centre. It's also an important academic site, with Adam Mickiewicz University, which is third largest university in the country.

Citadel Park

In 19th century this place was turned into fortifications and after World War II has been turned into a large park. Today, you can find here a lot of people, especially students who are relaxing, rollerblading or playing games.

Szachty Park

In the past, clay was mined here. The remains of the works are numerous ponds, which together create a unique place. There are many walking and cycling paths that attract people at all times of the year.

The most interesting element is the observation tower, from which you can admire the stunning views.

CUISINE

Polish cuisine is based on recipes passed down from generation to generation. Usually, grandmothers and mothers teach young people how to prepare certain dishes.

The good news is that traditional Poznań dishes are made mainly from regional products... isn't it wonderful?!

Rogal Świętomarciński

If you want to try the tastiest thing in Poznań, you should buy yourself a St. Martin's croissant! That's the most recognizable symbol of the city. But be careful, just one croissant has about 1000 calories!

Pyry z gzikiem

Typical dish from Greater Poland region. It is nothing less than potatoes with cottage cheese. It's very easy to make and tastes delicious.

Szagówki

They are made of potatoes, flour, eggs and a little salt. Their shape resembles the goat's hooves, which are the symbol of the city.

Adam Mickiewicz University

The interior takes up a hall for about 1000 people. The excellent acoustics of the auditorium makes it a permanent concert hall of the Poznań Philharmonic, and also hosts numerous music events
