The technical term refers to True Bugs, (order Hemiptera). Examples of true bugs are cicadas, leafhoppers, shield bugs and aphids. But in a daily conversational matter, we often know it as anything that's small and has 6 legs and more. That's why spiders (order araneae) are added in this gallery, even though they aren't insects.
Are actually pretty cool! They are the most diverse animals (yes, they are considered animals in the taxonomic system!) on the planet. They exist in every plane of Earth from the scorching hot Gobi desserts to the freezing Antarctica travelling, eating bugs, building colonies...

Try bug photography when it's not too hot outside. Look under leaves, trees, flowers and under rocks. Bugs like the shade, just like you do :)
