"I have taught with Paula and Linda and really enjoyed myself. They do a top notch job of making sure their class covers ALL the material (what class that you took in high school can you say that about?) as well as emphasizing points that are needed for college! So, that means lab skills, study skills, critical thinking—things not taught in a textbook. I cannot tell you how valuable this is in a science class! The experiments you do in science do not always go according to the planned textbook outcome. I know this from being a biology major in college to teaching elementary through high school science both at home and at co-op. You need to know why this is and how to handle it when it does happen. Paula and Linda teach the students how to write up labs, conduct labs, and how to summarize what they have learned, all in a fun environment. They know how to “keep it real”, if you know what I mean. They realize that not all their students are going on to become doctors or science majors and some truly are just there for the credit. But, they will NOT take the class and not gain some sort of appreciation for God’s wonderfully created world and many college readiness skills to boot. My daughter has taken Biology and Chemistry from Paula and Linda and she really enjoys their style and their friendliness and willingness to help!
