I have been teaching physical science, biology, and chemistry in homeschool co-ops and privately for 15 years. In addition, I have taught chemistry at a private education program for homeschoolers.
My early education was at a public school. From there I earned a BS degree in Biology from the College of William & Mary and then went on to earn a doctorate in Pharmacy from the University of Illinois at Chicago. I practiced as a registered pharmacist in the ICU setting and in retail before surrendering to educate my children at home.
My children's education included co-ops, extensive CLEP testing, and the CCP program at Wake Tech starting in the 11th grade.
My husband and I have been married for thirty-five years. Our children graduated with a homeschool education and earned scholarships to cover four years of college tuition. Our oldest is in an English PhD program at UNC Chapel Hill, our middle daughter is a senior at Meredith College majoring in computer science, and our youngest is a freshman in the engineering program at NC State University.
My passion is not only to teach the subject matter, but to prepare students for college level courses. I know what it takes to prepare for early college credit. Through my own kids' experiences, I'm learning what college professors are doing in the classroom and I try to incorporate those methods in my classroom.
Besides education, I love fashion apparel sewing, cooking, music, exploring nature, and blogging about homeschool adventures. I am also passionate about Jesus.
My blog is a collection of homeschool experiences and tips from kindergarten to high school graduation for the sole purpose of inspiring homeschool parents. I cover CLEP testing, dual enrollment, transcripts, various high school pathways, and many other education topics. Visit homeschoolwonderful.com.

Linda assisting student
Linda was a loyal and motivated teaching partner for twelve years. She went to be with the Lord in August 2024 after a battle with cancer. Without her support, I wouldn't be teaching today. Linda was and still is an inspiration for me and all the students she worked with. I miss her more than words can express.
Linda's Biography
Linda is a licensed physical therapist who graduated from the University of Florida. She has worked full time in the gamut of healthcare facilities with specialization in inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation. For many years, she was an adjunct professor teaching at the college level. She knows that health care providers have a great responsibility to care for others and need proper training to perform this task effectively. Quality preparation starts with quality classes. Linda enjoys helping the budding healthcare professional find their niche within the medical field.
Linda started homeschooling in 2013 when her son was entering the third grade. At that time, she was unaware of the vast array of opportunities homeschool has to offer. One of her concerns was the availability of quality science classes that would allow students to succeed in future endeavors. Her enthusiasm for science blended well with previous teaching experience to produce structured, fun, and informative homeschool classes.
When not teaching, Linda enjoys cooking and reading. She enjoys spending time with friends and family especially when at the beach. She lives with her husband, son, and their German Shepherd dog in Raleigh.
