CJSA has instituted a mandatory background check any adult (or high school member) who is a coach, assistant coach or trainer (in-house, travel or premier) and all board members and other parent volunteers, whether they work directly with players or not. All Connecticut Junior Soccer Association (CJSA) clubs are moving to a new computer system for managing player and coach registrations called Stack Sports; As part of this move, all background checks will be done differently going forward. As of January 1, 2010, the CJSA instituted a new mandatory online background check procedure for all youth soccer volunteers 18 years or older. These mandatory volunteer requirements include maintaining membership in the National Youth Sports Coaches Association (NYSCA) for all coaches and assistant coaches and completing the CJSA background check for all volunteers.

Mandatory On-Line Background Check: The Connecticut Junior Soccer Association (CJSA) and the (NCSC) require that all volunteers 18 years of age or older complete a mandatory on-line background check.
