Your Maine made stoneware is microwave, oven, and dishwasher safe (unless otherwise stated below). We do prefer to have our pieces handwashed as that guarantees the best handling, but life is life and the dishwasher top rack is just fine. We do not suggest that you use your piece in an oven higher than 350 degrees farenheit. When using anything handmade in the microwave, you should monitor it the first time just in case.
Your new mug, cup, pitcher, vase, oil bottle, or bowl is designed with a slightly heavier bottom. Coming from someone who tends to knock things over, the heavier bottom helps prevent tips and spills.
Your new sponge holder is designed to perch on the corner of your sink. It helps keep your sponge from getting smelly by allowing it to drain. The spout allows the holder to self drain right into the sink when it gets too full. You can also pour it out if you need. Place this on the top shelf of your dishwasher regularly to keep it nice and clean.
Your new spoon rest will look great on your stove top or counter. While it should not be an issue, if you are concerned about scratching surfaces, you can add small felt or silicone feet to the bottom, however this will make it necessary to handwash the spoon rest.
Your new soap dish will be stylish new addition to your bathroom vanity. Your soap dish is not dishwasher safe due to the silicone feet that are attached to the base. Please handwash these dishes.
Your new magnet is made of hand cut stoneware and backed with a high-powered neodymium magnets.
Your new ornament is made of hand cut and stamped stoneware and hung with genuine leather cord.
Your butter bell is designed to hold salted butter safely at room temperature. Fill the base of the crock with cold tap water. The amount of water in the base is about 1/2 - 1 inch in depth (this does not need to be exact, so long as the water covers the bell when inserted). You should change the water every 2 to 3 days with fresh cold water.
If you accidentally chipped your piece, we will happily help you cover your "oops". We will first visually inspect the piece to make sure it is not structurally compromised. If the piece is not compromised, we will use the four digit code on the bottom to reglaze the chip. This process takes about 1-2 months. We charge $10 for this service. Email us directly to arrange a time to meet. This is a local service only.
Back Bay Ceramics, formerly Muggle Clay Slinger Studio, is not responsible for damages caused to the piece, appliances, or household while they are being used. We are also not responsible for injuries.
