Preset Simulations

Instructions: Save the two tables as tab-delimited values text files (.tsv). In the main simulation page, import the settings file (Import Settings (TSV) button) first. Then click on Start Manual Placement button and import the arena file (Import Arena (TSV) button). Make adjustments to cell placements or settings (if you like) and then start the simulation.

Videos are shown as an illustration. Your simulation will be different as many events are stochastic.

NOTE: To achieve reproducibility, simulations in the latest version of the BacFighT6 can be initiated by providing a seed for the random number generator or by restoring a saved simulation state.

Battle Royale

The prey (blue) multiply, don't move and slowly produce capsule that blocks almost all attacks. The predators (red) move towards prey and attack upon contact with non-kin cells. They can divide only if they lyse a cell. The defenders (orange) move a little (randomly) and if predators attack them, they defend themselves and retaliate! Defenders can only divide if they lyse a cell.

Castle Defense

The defenders are replicating slowly, are hard to kill and fire precisely. Attackers fire a lot but randomly, they grow fast. Larger numbers can overwhelm weak defense. Dead prey can passively block attacker's growth.

Prison Break

Hockey Game

Defenders almost don't grow and don't sense attacks (are passive). Attackers fire randomly, but exclude their kin.

Hunt

Prey and predators don't grow. The prey is producing autoinducer, which diffuses through the arena and can be sensed by the predator. Predator can move either randomly or use chemotaxis (above certain autoinducer concentration threshold).
