Book club meetings occur monthly to discuss that month's selected book. We are an informal group. All are welcome to attend when they can - that could be every month or just once. We typically don't require an RSVP or for attendees to even read the book (just be prepared for some spoilers).
Once a year, Babes Who Book Club spends a weekend away reading, yapping, and exploring the town. Come alone or come with friends. Retreats are open to first time book club attendees and those who don't like to read.
While in-person monthly meet ups is the primary focus of Babes Who Book Club right now, the goal would be to expand into virtual book clubs, more retreats, having merchandise, and events outside of the genre of books.
Growing up, instead of a nightstand, I had a stool stacked with books. My dad often urged me to "stop reading and live life," not realizing that through reading, I was living thousands of lives. I relish becoming a private investigator in a thrilling mystery or getting lost in the romance of an enemies-to-lovers tale. I’m fascinated by memoirs that offer glimpses into others' lives and self-improvement books that help me understand my own.
Like many, I lost my love of reading during college, only to rediscover it during COVID with the A Court of Thorns and Roses series by Sarah J. Maas. Since then, I’ve devoured anywhere from 30 to 100 books a year.
I founded Babes Who Book Club in January 2023 as a New Year’s Resolution—not just to keep reading, but to connect with others over each story.
I'm so happy you're here.
XOXO,
Tori
