and thank you for your interest in Cub Scouting. We know there is a lot of information and if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact any of our Pack Leaders, see out contact page.
We are Pack 276, established May 2005. We are in the Central District in the Grand Canyon Council, BSA.
We received our 4th District “Pack of the Year” Award in February 2021.
All of our leaders are 100% trained!
Cub Scout Packs are for boys and girls in K thru 5th grades. Scouts ages 11 – 18 years old are in Troops, either all Boy OR all Girl Troops. Packs have the option of being all Boy, all Girl or both Boys and Girls who are still divided into separate dens. Pack 276 Committee and our Charter Organization decided to have both Boy and Girl dens, making us a Family Pack.
The Pack is split into dens based on the scout’s grade. Dens typically meet 2-3 times a month and all the dens come together once a month for the Pack Meeting. Den meeting locations vary depending on the den leader. Our Pack meetings are typically held on the 4th Monday of each month at 6:30pm at Glendale Christian Church 9661 N 59th Ave. We occasionally have events on Saturdays too.
Pack 276 runs a year-round program, which runs with the school year. We hold 6 or more family activities during the summer break as well. We do various activities throughout the year including: Pinewood Derby, Dirty Derby, two or more Pack Family Camps, Webelorees, Scouting for Food, Blue & Gold Banquet, Service Projects, Flag Retirement, Hiking, Cubanapolis, Council 3-day camps in summer, spring & winter. FUNraising, and much more.
The registration is $160 per year and begins the month that you join/register in Scouting.
The fees are prorated Aug ’20 – Jul ’21, Plus a one-time initiation fee of $25. This initiation fee does not apply to scouts currently registered and/or transferring units. When registering May – July you pay for the following year (12 months) as well, as May is when we begin collecting the following years fees from all. Registering online is the preferred method and does save you a little bit of money.
Note: when registering online, the $40 Pack fee is not collected and you’d need to make arrangement to pay that directly to the pack. We have a Venmo account @Pack-276-AZ
Register online at BEASCOUT.ORG.
Scout’s Life Magazine is optional and an additional $12 for the year. A great deal and so worth $12.
The Pack sells, popcorn (Aug - Oct), Camp Cards (discount cards) in March and Meat Sticks sales run through the school year. Most Scout will pay for their registration each year with the fundraising efforts.
