Software for Analysis of Joint-Defined Rock Block Stability in Mining Excavations
Keyblock analysis for tabular mine stopes
J-Block is designed to evaluate potential joint defined rock falls from tabular mining stope excavations. The software allows rock fall hazards to be compared for different stope orientations and support system layouts. It can also be used to compare potential failures from single faces of large openings in jointed rock.
Bench scale keyblock analysis for mine slopes
S-Block is intended to evaluate open pit mine bench scale stability where failure is determined by jointing. It can also be used to evaluate the effect of large-scale structures such as faults and through-going joints, but its strength lies in bench scale issues, where large numbers of joints are present.
