About Us

Ayyar's Garden is a small family-run business that first started out as a hobby growing a variety of roses, jasmine flowers, and lotuses. Today, we own a diverse amount of flowers including different varieties of jasmines, roses, tropical specialties such as ixoras, and oleanders, vegetables such as snake gourd, tindora, capsicum, Andhra chilli, Andhra tomato, and Andhra eggplants. We specialize in herbs and vegetables, but also have a great and beautiful selection of flowers.

As a family owned business, we take huge pride in the quality of our plants.

We participate in many plant shows and are a multi-prize winner at the annual Arlington Rose Foundation. The Arlington Rose Foundation mission provides support to the Bon Air Memorial Gardens and education on rose culture to the public. We are a non-profit organization serving all over the U.S. Our funds go to the Lupus Foundation to help those who have been effected or know someone that has been effected by this disease.

Important Facts:

• We do not have an open garden center or store. We allow visits/shopping at our growing nursery by appointment only (call ahead of time). Yes, we sell to the public.
• We are a small family-run nursery that has just one phone line and we do our best to answer all inquiries as they come in, but please leave us a detailed voice message if we are away. An e-mail instead is appreciated as they can be answered at any time of the day.
• Please be patient while we return your e-mails, voice mails, and special requests.
• We normally ship rooted starter plants that fit in boxes and that are intended to be grown on by our customers. We provide high quality, healthy, fairly priced, and generously sized starter plants. Plants will be shipped in the appropriate container.
• All of our photos are for reference purposes only. We can not guarantee any flowers at delivery nor do we replace plants with broken flowers. We cannot take pictures of the exact plants nor can we measure or count how many leaves are on the plant.
