1. Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Ayyami mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
These Terms apply to all users of the App, including registered users and guests.
2. About Ayyami
Ayyami is a menstrual cycle tracking application designed for Muslim women. It helps users:
- Track menstrual cycles, post-natal periods, pregnancy-related bleeding, and discharge
- Understand Islamic fiqh rulings (Hanafi school) applicable to their cycle state
- Track prayer times for their location
- Manage profiles for family members
- Set prayer, medication, and cycle reminders
3. User Accounts
3.1 Registration
To use the full features of Ayyami, you must create an account using an email address, phone number, or a third-party sign-in (Google or Apple). You must provide accurate and complete information.
3.2 Account Security
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. Do not share your password. We are not liable for any unauthorised access to your account resulting from your failure to secure your credentials.
3.3 One Account Per Person
Each account is for one individual. You may create up to 5 profiles within your account to track cycles for family members (such as a daughter or sister) under your supervision.
3.4 Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, without prior notice.
4. Health Information Disclaimer
IMPORTANT — PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
Ayyami provides Islamic fiqh guidance and cycle-related information for general educational and personal religious practice purposes only. This information is:
- Not medical advice. Nothing in this App constitutes medical diagnosis, treatment, or clinical advice.
- Not a substitute for professional medical care. If you have health concerns about your menstrual cycle, pregnancy, post-natal health, or any other medical condition, consult a qualified healthcare professional.
- Not a substitute for a qualified Islamic scholar. The fiqh rulings provided by Ayyami are based on general scholarly positions within the Hanafi school of Islamic jurisprudence. For complex personal situations, we strongly encourage consulting a qualified Islamic scholar (Alimah or Mufti).
By using Ayyami, you acknowledge and accept that you use the app's health-related and fiqh-related features at your own discretion and risk.
5. Islamic Fiqh Content
The fiqh rulings and guidance in Ayyami are based on the Hanafi school of Islamic jurisprudence. We have taken care to source these rulings from established scholarly references.
However:
- Fiqh is a nuanced field. Our algorithmic interpretation may not account for every individual situation.
- Users with unusual or complex cycle patterns should consult a scholar directly.
- We do not claim authority equal to a trained Islamic scholar and encourage users to seek personal scholarly guidance when in doubt.
We may update fiqh rulings over time as we consult with scholars. We do not guarantee that all content reflects the most current scholarly consensus.
