Interview with Robert Mustard Shihan

Robert Mustard Shihan spent 10 years at the Yoshinkan Honbu dojo in Japan during the late 80s and early 90s when Gozo Shioda was still alive. This is considered to be the "golden era" of Yoshinkan Aikido. Mustard Shihan talks about being at the Honbu dojo during this era, and about his perspective on Yoshinkan Aikido.

Interview with Joe Thambu Shihan

For many years, Thambu Shihan was a bouncer in Melbourne nightclubs, and has experience in actual fights. At 168cm (5' 6") and weighing 58kg (about 128 pounds), he was the smallest bouncer in Melbourne. His experience shows that Aikido can be used for self-defense, even against larger opponents, provided that you have sufficient training.

The interview portion starts at about 50 seconds into the video.
