Title: Shaping a Professional Journey of Mind and Heart

Abstract: In the spirit of my educational column in the latest AWM newsletter (Nov-Dec 2023) I will invite us to create a space for reflection about our professional journeys—your own journey—who you are, where you go, and how you shape the path you are forging. I will offer one illustrated perspective of how I have come to listen to my evolving identity and purpose in shaping aspects of my own mathematical journey, including choosing particular professional pursuits. My aim in illustrating with my choices is to encourage you to introspect about yours, with mind and heart.
