Membership with the Alberta Weather Network (AWN) is free of charge and open to individuals interested in weather, climate, and community safety within Alberta.
Members must provide accurate and up-to-date contact information when applying or renewing.
Membership must be renewed annually.
Renewal can be completed online through the AWN website or via other official renewal channels announced by AWN.
Failure to renew by the stated deadline may result in suspension of membership benefits until renewal is complete.
Access to AWN updates, alerts, and newsletters.
Opportunities to participate in AWN community programs, events, and feedback surveys.
Eligibility to join internal projects and volunteer opportunities.
Access to member-only sections of AWN platforms (e.g., Storm Centre, WeatherTost, IWEASA).
Members must use AWN services respectfully and in accordance with these Terms.
Members may not use AWN membership for personal commercial gain, political campaigning, or spreading misinformation.
Members agree to keep their information up to date to ensure smooth communication.
AWN respects member privacy. Any personal information collected is used only for membership management, communications, and service improvements.
AWN does not sell or share member information with third parties without consent, except where legally required.
Members may cancel their membership at any time.
AWN reserves the right to revoke membership if a member violates these Terms, engages in misuse of AWN services, or acts in a manner harmful to AWN or the community.
AWN reserves the right to update or amend these Terms & Conditions at any time.
Members will be notified of significant changes through email or official AWN announcements.
