Can we help each other by looking at what's there, discovering the resistance, the judgment of each other and ourselves? Can we help each other create a space in which everything can be seen, felt, heard and experienced as it is, as it is coming up? Is that what is lacking in our collective efforts to change and better ourselves and the world? We are forever coming up with new ideas and programs, but what's lacking is the space, the quietness and care of attending to our problems, allowing them to reveal themselves and to be seen spaciously? They reveal themselves as not just my problem or your problem, but a common problem. (Toni Packer, "The Light of Discovery")
