Hi Cubbies Families!

We are in a really nice groove and getting used to our routine! The Cubbies were so attentive during the lesson this week and it's been so sweet getting to know all of our new little Cubbies! We hope they had fun dressing up last week. :)

9/9 is a regular night and we will be working on Bear Hug 2 (BH2), which is "Romans 5:8 - While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

BH2 can be found on pages 10-13 in the Honeycomb Handbook. The Cubbies bear story is on pages 10 & 11. The Bible lesson, verse, extra credit "Under the Apple Tree", and Review sections are found on pages 12 & 13. 

BH2 is our 'C' Verse in Cubbies. We will recite the 'C' verse in large group each week to cement it in our hearts!  Plus, all of our activities (Worship, Games, Puppet Show, Lesson, Snack & Craft) will reinforce the lesson in the hadbook that you've been working on with your Cubbie(s) at home this last week.

• pickup name tags at the kiosks

• make a restroom stop before checking in with the Cubbies Class

• Sign-in at the green Cubbies table by Room #9 with Mrs. Shannon

• put Entrance Booklet/Bag in your Cubbies' color bin

For Our New Cubbies Families:

Cubbies earn points they can redeem at our Awana Store in December and May for bringing their Entrance Booklet/Honey Comb Handbook, vest, Bible, optional offering (suggested $0.50), and for participating in theme nights! 

We'll check for all of that at Cubbies sign-in at the green table by Room #9, then have Cubbies put their bag in their color bin, and we'll put their color group sticker on their name tags before they head in to join worship by 6:15pm.

Cubbies will be picked up at 7:45pm in the sanctuary. Mrs. Magen Johnson will have parents line up in both aisles at the back and will dismiss one family at a time. Cubbies will be listening for their name to be called for dismissal. They go home with an Apple Acres Entrance Booklet on their first visit and can start working on memorizing the Cubbies Key Verse (Bear Hug A) and Motto (Bear Hug B), found on the last 4 pages of the brochure and also posted on this page. Once they complete the brochure, they will receive the Honey Comb Handbook and a Cubbies bag to bring their handbook and Bible to class each week.

Cubbies work on a different verse each week, so you will receive a Cubbies Schedule (also pinned to this site) that lets you know theme nights and what Bear Hug [a.k.a. BH] we're working on each week. The corresponding verse is printed on the back side of the schedule, so Cubbies can work on the same verse we are, even if they don't have a handbook.
