Hi Cubbies Families!!
You may have noticed a craft didn't go home on 1/7. That's because we're going to add to it on 1/14 and Cubbies will bring home the completed craft then!
Don't forget to check your Cubbies bags for notes and award patches to add to their vest. :) Let me know if you have any questions about those, but there's also a guide on page 4 of the handbook. We are filling in the letter 'A' on their vest this year!
1/14 is a regular night and we'll be completing Bear Hug 13, as we continue to learn about Noah's story. We will learn that God dried up the water from the flood. He made a new promise to never send another worldwide flood. The rainbow is the sign of God's promise, and God will never forget His promise.
This week's verse is:
Genesis 9:13 - I [God] have set My rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth.
*Our older Cubbies are encouraged to learn the entire verse, but our Cubbies are only required to say the part in bold letters (aka the short version) for credit each week.
This week's snack:
Rainbow Fruit Skewers
*Please let us know if your child cannot have the snack. We have gluten and dye-free options available.
Please don't forget to get tags for your Cubbies at the kiosks, then stop by the bathrooms, before checking in with me at the green Cubbies table by Room 9.
Cubbies earn points for bringing their handbook, vest, Bible, optional offering, and participating in theme nights! We'll check for all of that at sign-in, have Cubbies put their bag in their color bin, and we'll put their color sticker on their name tags.
We hope to avoid a lot of potty break distractions in the very short and busy time we have with your kiddos. Your cooperation to take them to the bathroom before class is greatly appreciated! :)
Please see Mrs. Magen Johnson to order a Cubbies vest, if you haven't already, and let me know if you have any thoughts or questions!
See y'all Wednesday!
