Getting Started
What is Awaken?
Awaken combines nutrition tracking, personal habits, camera-counted workouts, Apple Health steps, statistics, achievements, and an RPG-style 20-level progression system.
Awaken is intended for general fitness and wellness tracking. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Do I need an account?
No. The current version does not require an Awaken account.
Most of your tracker information is stored locally on your iPhone.
Where can I see my progress?
Level: View XP, habits, nutrition progress, workouts, steps, and consistency.
Fitness: Start a camera-counted push-up or squat workout.
Nutrition and History: Log, review, edit, or delete meals.
Stats: Review recent nutrition, habit, workout, walking, and achievement trends.
Meal and Nutrition Tracking
How do I log a meal?
Open the meal logger and choose one of these methods:
Take a meal photo.
Choose a specific photo from your library.
Type a food, drink, portion, or meal description.
Add a text note to help Awaken understand a photo.
For a better estimate, include quantities such as “200 g chicken and rice,” “2 eggs,” or “500 ml water.”
Can Awaken scan barcodes?
Barcode scanning is not available in the current version.
Until it is added, photograph the product name or Nutrition Facts label, or type the product name and serving size.
Why was my meal photo not recognized?
Try these steps:
Use bright, even lighting.
Keep the food, package name, or Nutrition Facts label clearly visible.
Avoid blurry, distant, or heavily cropped photos.
Add the product or dish name as a text note.
Try a typed meal description instead.
Meal-photo analysis requires an internet connection.
Nutrition results are estimates, so review and correct them when needed.
Can I edit a meal or its nutrition?
Yes. Open a saved meal from Nutrition or History.
You can edit its name, meal type, time, calories, protein, carbohydrates, and fat, then save.
Fibre is displayed but is not currently editable.
How do I delete a meal?
Use the delete action for the saved meal. Awaken may briefly offer an Undo option.
Deleting a meal removes the meal record, but a related conversation message, unlocked dish achievement, or generated artwork may remain.
To remove the complete local Awaken data container, delete the app from the iPhone.
How do I track protein and macros?
Logged meals contribute to your daily calories, protein, carbohydrates, fat, and fibre totals.
Review the selected day for daily totals or open Stats for longer-term trends.
Because photo and text analysis can only estimate portions and nutrition, review the result and correct the editable values whenever necessary.
How do I track water?
Log plain water like any other item.
For example, type “500 ml water” or “2 cups of water.”
Does Awaken work offline?
Some typed foods can be matched using Awaken’s on-device food catalog.
AI photo analysis, whole-meal text analysis, and generated meal artwork require an internet connection.
You can continue using locally stored habits, workouts, and history while offline.
Are my meal photos private?
When you choose a meal photo for nutrition analysis, Awaken prepares a reduced-size copy and sends it to OpenRouter and a selected AI model provider.
The original photo is not saved as part of your Awaken meal record.
Workout camera processing is handled on the device. No workout video is recorded, saved, or uploaded.
See the Awaken Privacy Policy for complete details:

Habits, XP, and Levels
How do I create a habit?
Open Level, find Habits, and tap Add.
Enter a unique habit name, choose an icon, and save it.
Tap a habit to mark it complete or incomplete for the selected day. Use its menu to edit or delete it.
Is there a habit limit?
The current version does not impose a fixed limit on personal habits.
What happens when I delete a habit?
Deleting a habit also permanently removes its saved completion history.
How does the 20-level system work?
Awaken has 20 cumulative levels.
In the current version, XP is calculated from progress toward protein, carbohydrate, fat, push-up, and squat goals.
Saved progress accumulates over time and moves you through the level ranks.
Habits contribute to the consistency calculation, while Apple Health steps appear as walking progress.
Neither habits nor steps currently add XP.
Camera-Counted Workouts
Which workouts can Awaken count?
The current version supports camera-counted push-ups and squats.
How do I start a workout?
Open Fitness, choose a push-up or squat workout, review the setup instructions, and tap Start Workout.
Allow camera access when requested.
When you finish, close the workout and choose Save Reps.
Choosing Discard Workout does not save the session.
Why are my repetitions not counting?
For more reliable tracking:
Use a real iPhone.
Place the phone securely and keep it steady.
Keep your full body and required joints inside the frame.
Use bright, even lighting.
Avoid clothing or objects that hide important joints.
Wait until the on-screen coach confirms stable tracking.
Complete the full down-and-up movement.
For push-ups, keep your shoulders, hips, elbows, and wrists visible.
For squats, keep your shoulders, hips, knees, and feet visible.
Does Awaken record or upload my workout video?
No.
Workout camera frames are processed on your iPhone with Apple’s on-device body-pose technology.
Awaken does not record, save, or upload workout video or body landmarks.
Only the saved workout result—such as exercise type, time, duration, and repetition count—is retained.
What if I denied camera access?
Open iPhone Settings, select Awaken, enable Camera, and reopen the workout.
Without camera permission, you can still use non-camera features.
Apple Health and Permissions
How do I connect Apple Health?
Open Level and tap Connect Apple Health for steps when it appears.
Approve access to Steps.
Awaken currently reads daily step count. It does not write workouts or nutrition information to Apple Health.
Why are my steps blank?
Possible reasons include:
Apple Health access was not granted.
Step access was later disabled.
No step information exists for that day.
Apple Health is unavailable on the device.
Open the Health app or iPhone privacy settings, find Awaken’s Health permissions, and enable Steps.
Then reopen the app.
Which permissions does Awaken use?
Depending on the features you choose, Awaken may request:
Camera access for meal photos and repetition counting
Apple’s system photo picker, which gives Awaken access only to the photo you select
Apple Health read access for daily steps
Notification permission during onboarding
The current version does not schedule notification reminders.
You can change these permissions in iPhone Settings.
Subscriptions and Billing
What subscription plans does Awaken Premium offer?
Awaken Premium is configured with two auto-renewable billing options.
Availability depends on your app version and App Store country or region:
Monthly: US $8.99 per month
Yearly: US $24.99 per year
Prices may differ by country, currency, or tax.
The price displayed by Apple before you confirm a purchase is the price that applies to you.
Does my subscription renew automatically?
If you subscribe, yes.
Awaken subscriptions are auto-renewable and continue until canceled through your Apple Account.
How do I cancel my subscription?
On iPhone:
Open Settings.
Tap your name.
Tap Subscriptions.
Select Awaken.
Tap Cancel Subscription.
If no Cancel button appears or Apple displays an expiration date, the subscription may already be canceled.
Apple’s cancellation instructions:
https://support.apple.com/118428
Deleting Awaken does not cancel an active subscription.
How do I change between monthly and yearly billing?
Open iPhone Settings, tap your name, choose Subscriptions, and select Awaken.
Apple will display the available plan options and when a change will take effect.
How do I restore a subscription?
Make sure the iPhone uses the same Apple Account that originally purchased the subscription.
If the version you are using offers Restore Purchases, select it and wait for Apple to verify the purchase.
If no restore option appears or access is still not recognized, contact argonpatel834@gmail.com with the purchase date and Apple order reference.
Never send your Apple Account password or complete payment-card information.
Apple’s purchase restoration guidance:
https://support.apple.com/108096
How do I request a refund?
Apple processes App Store payments and decides refund eligibility.
Visit:
https://reportaproblem.apple.com/
Sign in, choose Request a refund, and select the Awaken purchase.
Canceling a subscription and requesting a refund are separate actions.
Data and Privacy
Where is my Awaken information stored?
Meals, habits, profile details, workout sessions, and other tracker records are stored locally on the iPhone.
Awaken does not currently provide its own account or cloud-sync system.
Meal text or a selected meal photo may be sent to third-party AI services for nutrition analysis.
A text prompt describing a meal may also be sent for artwork generation.
Workout body-pose analysis and Apple Health step information remain on the device.
Read the Awaken Privacy Policy for more information:
https://sites.google.com/view/awakenleveluphealth/privacy-policy
Will my information transfer to another iPhone?
Awaken does not currently provide its own cross-device sync.
Recovery may depend on Apple’s device backup and restore behavior.
Support cannot reconstruct locally stored tracker information that was never backed up.
How do I delete my information?
Use available controls to delete individual meals or habits.
Deleting a habit also deletes its completion history.
The current version does not include a Delete All Data or data-export control.
Deleting Awaken removes its locally stored information from that iPhone, subject to Apple’s device-backup behavior.
Deleting the app does not cancel an active subscription.
Does Awaken sell my information or show targeted advertisements?
No.
Awaken does not sell personal information, show third-party advertisements, or use third-party behavioral-tracking SDKs in the current version.
Troubleshooting
Awaken is not updating or responding. What should I try?
Confirm that the iPhone has an internet connection.
Close and reopen Awaken.
Restart the iPhone.
Install the latest Awaken and iOS updates.
Check Camera and Apple Health permissions.
Retry with a typed meal description if photo analysis fails.
I found incorrect nutrition information. What should I do?
Nutrition values are estimates.
Edit the meal using trusted label information or another reliable source.
Do not use Awaken as a substitute for professional medical or dietary advice.
