Privacy Policy for Awaken: Level Up Health
Effective Date: July 31, 2026
Last Updated: July 31, 2026
Awaken: Level Up Health (“Awaken,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a health and fitness tracking application operated by the seller identified on Awaken’s Apple App Store product page. This Privacy Policy explains what information Awaken processes, how it is used, when it may be sent to service providers, and the choices available to you.
The App Store seller is responsible for Awaken’s privacy practices. If you have questions or want to make a privacy request, contact:
Email: argonpatel834@gmail.com
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the Awaken iOS application, its support services, and communications you send to us. It does not replace the privacy policies of Apple or third-party services that Awaken uses.
2. Privacy Summary
Awaken does not currently require you to create an account.
Most tracker data is stored locally on your iPhone.
Awaken does not use third-party advertising, behavioral-tracking, or data-broker services.
Awaken does not sell your personal information.
With your permission, Awaken reads your daily step count from Apple Health.
Awaken does not send Apple Health information to advertising or AI providers.
Workout camera frames are processed on your device to count repetitions.
Awaken does not record, save, or upload workout video.
When you choose AI meal logging, a selected meal photo, meal description, or optional note is sent to third-party AI services for nutrition analysis.
Those providers may retain or use submitted content as described in their policies and applicable service settings.
Meal-art generation may send a text prompt describing a logged meal to an image-generation provider. The original meal photo is not sent for meal-art generation.
3. Information Awaken Processes
A. Profile and body information
If you create a Level profile, Awaken may store information you choose to provide, including:
Class or profile title
Age
Height
Weight
Preferred measurement system
This information is stored locally on your device. It is used to display your profile and is not used to calculate medical diagnoses.
B. Meal and nutrition information
Awaken may process:
Meal and drink descriptions
A meal photo you take or specifically select
Optional notes accompanying a meal photo
Meal names, dates, times, types, and portions
Calories, protein, carbohydrates, fat, fibre, and water information
Nutrition estimates, confidence indicators, edits, and saved meal history
Messages created as part of the meal-logging experience
Saved meal records and nutrition totals are stored locally on your device. When you use AI meal analysis, the selected photo or description is also transmitted as explained in Section 5.
C. Habit, recovery, and fitness information
Awaken may store locally:
Habit names and icons
Habit completion dates and streak information
Manually entered sleep duration and energy level
Exercise type
Workout start and end times
Repetition counts
XP, level, statistics, and achievement progress derived from your activity
D. Apple Health information
If you grant permission, Awaken currently reads:
Daily step count
Awaken uses step-count information to display walking and routine progress. Awaken currently requests read-only access to steps and does not write workout or nutrition information to Apple Health.
Apple Health access is optional. Health information is accessed through Apple’s HealthKit framework and remains subject to the permissions you control in iOS.
Awaken does not use Apple Health information for advertising, marketing, profiling, or data mining. Awaken does not sell Apple Health information or send it to OpenRouter, AI model providers, or Runware.
E. Camera and photo information
Awaken uses the camera in two different ways:
Workout repetition counting: Live camera frames are processed on the device using Apple’s Vision technology to detect body landmarks and count supported exercises. Workout video is not recorded, stored, or uploaded. Only the completed exercise type, time, duration, and repetition count may be saved.
Meal-photo analysis: When you take a meal photo or select one through Apple’s photo picker, Awaken prepares a reduced-size copy and sends it for AI nutrition analysis. Awaken does not access your entire photo library through this picker. The submitted meal photo is held temporarily for the request and is not saved as part of your Awaken meal record after analysis.
F. Purchase and subscription information
If Awaken offers an auto-renewable subscription and you make a purchase, Apple processes the payment through the App Store.
We do not receive your complete payment-card number. Apple may provide transaction, product, subscription-status, and entitlement information needed to provide purchased access, prevent fraud, and respond to billing questions.
Purchases are also governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy:
https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
G. Support communications
If you email us, we receive the information included in your message, such as:
Your email address
Your support request
Screenshots
Device details
Any other information you voluntarily provide
Please do not send passwords, complete payment-card numbers, or unnecessary health information in a support email.
H. Technical request information
Awaken does not currently include third-party advertising, analytics, or crash-reporting SDKs.
However, when Awaken connects to an external service, that service may automatically receive limited network and technical information, such as:
IP address
Request time
Device or operating-system characteristics
Security or diagnostic logs
Those providers process this information under their own privacy policies.
4. How Information Is Used
We use information to:
Provide meal logging and nutrition estimates
Display calories, protein, macros, water, habits, steps, workouts, statistics, XP, and levels
Save and manage the records you create
Count workout repetitions on your device
Generate meal artwork
Process Apple subscription information if subscription access is enabled
Troubleshoot problems and respond to support requests
Maintain security and prevent abuse
Comply with legal obligations
Improve Awaken’s reliability and functionality
Awaken’s nutrition analysis, progress information, and exercise counting are intended for general wellness and informational purposes only.
5. AI Meal Analysis and Meal Artwork
OpenRouter and AI model providers
When you submit a meal photo, meal description, or optional note for AI analysis, Awaken sends that content to OpenRouter.
OpenRouter routes the request to an AI model provider selected for the feature, which may include Google.
The purpose of this processing is to identify food or drinks and estimate portions and nutrition. Transmitted content may include:
The selected meal photo
Visible packaging or nutrition-label information
Your meal description
An optional text note
The AI-generated nutrition response
Network and request metadata
OpenRouter states that it does not use inputs or outputs for model training and that it normally keeps submitted image files only as long as necessary to route a request, subject to exceptions for abuse detection, security, billing, or legal compliance.
The selected model provider may process, log, retain, or use submitted inputs and generated outputs according to its terms, privacy practices, and the routing settings used for the request.
Depending on the provider and settings, a model provider may use request information to improve or train its models. Awaken’s current provider configuration does not guarantee zero-data-retention.
We do not use submitted meal content to train an Awaken-owned AI model.

Runware
For foods without bundled artwork, Awaken may ask Runware to generate a decorative meal image.
Awaken sends a derived text prompt describing the meal or its ingredients. Runware may route this request to a selected image provider, currently OpenAI.
Awaken does not send the original meal photo to Runware or OpenAI for this purpose. The generated image is downloaded and stored locally for display in Awaken.
Runware may process the prompt, generated image, IP address, and related service logs under its privacy practices.
Runware Privacy Policy:

OpenAI Business Data Privacy:

Your choice
Submitting a photo or meal description for AI analysis is optional.
When you choose and confirm submission, you direct Awaken to send the content described above to the named providers for that purpose.
If you do not want meal content sent to third-party AI services, do not submit it through the AI meal-logging feature.
Other features, such as habits, locally saved workouts, and optional Apple Health steps, can be used separately.
Do not include faces, documents, account credentials, medical records, or other unnecessary personal information in a meal photo or description.
6. How Information Is Shared
We may disclose information only as needed:
OpenRouter and selected AI model providers: To analyze a meal photo or description and return nutrition estimates.
Runware and its selected image provider, currently OpenAI: To generate decorative meal artwork from a derived text prompt.
Apple: To provide App Store purchases, subscription management, system permissions, HealthKit access, and other Apple platform services.
Service and legal protection: To comply with law, enforce rights, prevent fraud or abuse, protect safety, or respond to lawful requests.
Business transfer: If the Awaken business is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale, information may be transferred subject to this Privacy Policy and applicable law.
We do not sell personal information.
We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We do not use Apple Health or workout-camera information for advertising or marketing.
Third parties that process information on Awaken’s behalf are required to protect it consistently with this Privacy Policy and applicable law and to use it only for authorized purposes.
Any independent processing disclosed by a provider remains governed by that provider’s terms and privacy notice, including the model-provider practices described in Section 5.
7. Local Storage and Cloud Services
Awaken stores tracker records using Apple’s local app-storage technologies.
Generated meal artwork may also be stored in Awaken’s local documents area.
Awaken does not persist the Apple Health step-count values it reads as part of its local tracker database.
Awaken does not currently operate an account-based cloud-sync service and does not use CloudKit to sync your health and fitness records.
Apple’s device backup and restore services may handle other locally stored app information according to your device and iCloud backup settings. Those services are controlled by Apple and your Apple Account settings.
8. Retention and Deletion
Information stored by Awaken
Locally stored records remain on your device until you delete them, delete the app, or the information is removed through device management or restoration.
You can delete supported meal and habit records using available in-app controls.
Deleting a meal may not automatically remove related conversation messages, earned dish achievements, or previously generated artwork.
Deleting a habit removes its saved completion history.
Deleting Awaken removes its locally stored app information from that device, subject to any Apple device backup that may exist.
Deleting Awaken does not cancel an App Store subscription.
Awaken does not currently provide its own account or server-side copy of your complete local tracker database. We generally cannot recover local information after it is deleted.
Information processed by service providers
OpenRouter, AI model providers, Runware, and Apple retain information according to their own policies, service settings, security needs, billing obligations, and legal requirements.
Retention periods may vary by provider and request.
OpenRouter states that submitted image files are not normally kept beyond the time required to route a request, except where needed for abuse detection, security, billing, or legal compliance. OpenRouter states that other personal information is retained as reasonably necessary for its business and legal obligations.
Routed model providers may retain inputs, outputs, and related logs. Depending on their policies and request settings, they may use them for service improvement or model training.
Awaken does not control provider retention periods, and its current integration does not guarantee zero-data-retention.
Runware and its selected image provider may retain prompts, outputs, and related service logs under their published policies.
You may review or submit requests directly under the provider privacy notices linked in Section 5.
You may also contact us at argonpatel834@gmail.com. We will evaluate the request and, where applicable, coordinate with relevant providers.
We may be unable to identify or delete provider information without details that connect your request to a provider transaction.
Support emails may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to resolve the request, maintain support records, prevent abuse, and comply with law.
9. Your Permissions and Choices
You control optional access through iOS:
Camera: Used for a selected meal photo and on-device workout counting.
Photos: Apple’s photo picker allows you to choose a specific image without giving Awaken unrestricted access to your library.
Apple Health: Used to read step count only after you approve access.
Notifications: The current build may request notification permission during onboarding, but it does not currently schedule local notifications or register for push notifications.
You can change these permissions in iPhone Settings.
Revoking permission stops future access but does not automatically delete information already saved on your device or previously processed by a third-party service.
To manage Apple Health access, use the Health app or iPhone privacy settings.
To manage an Apple subscription, use your Apple Account subscription settings.
You can withdraw permission for future AI processing by not submitting additional meal photos or descriptions through the AI meal-logging feature.
To request deletion of information already processed by a provider, use the privacy-request options described in Section 8.
10. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information, including Apple’s app sandbox and encrypted HTTPS connections to external providers.
No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You are responsible for protecting your iPhone, Apple Account, device passcode, and any backups.
11. International Processing
OpenRouter, its model providers, Runware, Apple, and other service providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they or their service providers operate.
These countries may have data-protection laws different from those where you live.
The linked provider privacy notices describe their international-processing and transfer practices.
Where applicable, Awaken processes information as permitted by relevant data-protection law.
12. Legal Bases and Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, we process information based on:
Your consent, including when you grant system permissions or choose to submit content for an optional feature
The need to provide functionality you request
Legitimate interests in operating, securing, supporting, and improving Awaken
Compliance with legal obligations
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to:
Request access to your personal information
Request correction or deletion
Request restriction of processing
Object to processing
Request data portability
Withdraw consent
Complain to your local data-protection authority
To make a request, email argonpatel834@gmail.com.
We may need enough information to verify and process your request. Because Awaken does not currently use accounts, we may be unable to identify local device information or third-party request information without additional details from you.
California residents
California residents may have rights to know, access, correct, or delete personal information and to receive equal service when exercising privacy rights.
Awaken does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
13. Children’s Privacy
Awaken is not directed to children under 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you believe a child has provided information through Awaken, contact us so that we can review and take appropriate action.
Users below the age of legal majority where they live should use Awaken only with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian.
14. Health and Medical Disclaimer
Awaken is a general wellness and fitness tracker.
It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or emergency services.
Nutrition estimates and camera-counted repetitions may be inaccurate.
Review food entries before relying on them, exercise safely, stop if you experience pain or illness, and consult a qualified healthcare professional regarding medical conditions, diet, or exercise decisions.
15. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when Awaken’s features, service providers, or legal obligations change.
The “Last Updated” date will identify the latest version.
Material changes may also be communicated through the app or App Store listing when appropriate.
