Through the AFCAT Vacancy, A candidate has an option of joining the flying branch, technician branch, and ground duty branch, etc.

For Flying branch: A must-have bachelor’s degree from a recognized university With 60 % & 12th Passed with 60% marks in Each Physics & Maths.

For Ground Duty Technical: Degree from a recognized university With 60 % marks.

For Ground Duty Non-Technical: Degree from a government recognized University with Physics, Mathematics, chemistry, statistic, International Relations, Defence studies, Psychology, computer science, IT, Management, Mass Communication etc. with a 50% marks in aggregate all papers put together in Post.

Age Limit - 20 to 24 years (at the time of commencement of course).Upper age limit for Candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot Licence issued by DGCA (India) is relaxed up to 26 years(at the time of commencement of course).

Educational Qualifications:

Candidates should have mandatorily passed with a minimum of 50% marks each in Maths and Physics at 10+2 level and

Graduation with minimum three years degree course in any discipline from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent

OR

BE/B Tech degree (Four years course) from a recognised University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.

OR

Candidates who have cleared Section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.

Final year students are eligible to apply provided candidate should not have any present backlog and should have secured a minimum of 60% marks up to the last semester/ year at the time of AFSB testing and they produce provisional/ original degree issued by the University as per the date stipulated in the advertisement.

The Selection Stages of the AFCAT Entry is consists of the following phases that are required to clear by the candidates:

• Written Exam.

• AFSB Interview (Air Force Selection Board)

• Medical Exam etc.
