Abbey VS had an action packed week of activites to enjoy for the annual ASW. Kinall, rowing, zumba, basketball golf, surfing & skipping to name a few.

This year our first years skipped from Donegal town to the Ukraine capital Kyiv. In under 2 hours our students managed to skip over 58, 889km . Thank you to past pupil DJ Caolan Boyle for keeping the crowd motivated & moving.

PE classes competed in an interclass volleyball event in school. The follow up to this was an inter school volleyball competiton hosted by PCC Falcarragh. 4 schools attended the event. It was a fun inclusive tournament and really enjoyable for all. Our transition year pupils discovered a passion for the sport of volleyball.

Class 4D planned & delivered a walkway tour with a twist ! Classes enjoyed the new walkway tour while our TYs, leaving certs and many other pupils in costume attmepted to scare the walkers. Watch with caution.... BOO!!!!!

Second years were treated to an interclass dodgeball fun event. The entire year group attended this tournament over one day. The finals were hosted in the afternoon, the atmosphere was electric !

A competitive mixed event seen each class battle it out to make it to the afternoon final. Duck Dodge & DIve!!

Class 4D were trained up to become tug of war coaches through Tug of War Ireland. Students were split up into groups of 4 to attend PE classes. During PE ASF students demonstrated and coached the sport of Tug of war.

The class was split into teams of 5 and had an in class competition. ,The winning 5 went on to compete in an interclass first year competition.

Class 4D organsied several Halloween events. The gruesome dip kicked off the festivities in AVS. Pupils were encouraged to get in costume and so were rewarded with a dip for a Gruesome treat. Those in costume took up positions on the wicked walkway for the afternoon. This was a great promotional activity for our school walkway & frsh air breaks.
