First year pupils enjoyed the annual skipathon in AVS. This year we skipped the mountains of Europe as suggested by Active Schools. Pupils were motivated by the DJ hired in for the afternoon. There were various prizes up for grabs . Congratualtions to those that competed in the individual and long rope competitions. Skipping is a fun & easy way to exercise and get some physical activity in your day.

Back with a bang, the high intensity energetic school Skipathon. Pupils skipped from Donegal town to the Ukraine. 1 jump = 100km . Pupils managed to jump 58,880 km!! Well done to all the first years for making a huge effort and our DJ Caolan Boyle for keeping us jumping.

This was the first time the skipathon took place in AVS. Now an annual event this was a high energy two hours were pupils skipped from Malin to Mizen. Pupils managed to skip all the way back also. Teachers & pupils got fully involved and thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon which has now become an annual event.
