We're recruiting school staff members who are passionate about cultivating a culture of health & well-being within their schools and excited to engage students as leaders in this process.
We recognize that COVID-19 has created a significant increase in your day-to-day responsibilities and the last thing we want to do is add extra work to plates that are already overflowing. However, we also recognize that COVID-19 has created some unique needs and opportunities related to health and well-being, and we hope UpLift can be a catalyst that enables your school to thrive this year.
Depending on what works best for your school, the student action grant could be taken on by classes like Citizenship 9, Healthy Living, Food Science, GSA groups, or as an elementary class project. Newly-formed student leaderships groups can also be involved in the grant process. Youth Engagement Coordinators will plan, develop, and facilitate all sessions so no work/time is added for staff. Support from the staff champion will, however, be required for scheduling, communication, and supervision.
