Supportive relationships, based in trust, influence positive mental health and increase student achievement, autonomy, and connectedness.
Healthy School Communities focus on strengthening relationships between students, educators, parents, community partners & health staff, as well as strengthening and supporting the development of students' relationships with themselves. More connected relationships increase students' sense of belonging and connection to their school.
Healthy Relationship work in our schools supports AVRCE's Well-Being Goal 1: All students will grow in their sense of identity, belonging, and personal empowerment in a relational, supportive and student-centred environment.
