Hey y'all! I'm Lindsay, and Cottonport has been my home for most of my life. I'm a registered nurse, wife to Tyler, and mom to our four amazing kiddos. You might even call me the designated crazy cat lady of the group! My husband and I have a knack for attracting stray, wounded, and desperate animals. We've found them at our doorstep, under vehicles, on rooftops, and we've even torn apart walls and jumped into bayous – seriously, just ask anyone who knows us! It's all in the name of love.I truly believe in love for all beings and that we're all connected at our core. My grandmother, Phyllis, an AAWS alumna, has always inspired me with her selfless dedication to service. Her love for me and for animal rescue motivated me to carry on her legacy and expand the vision for a better Avoyelles for its animal population.

Hi, I’m Lacie! I live in Mansura with my husband, Cody and our three girls. I’m a registered nurse, and proud dog-mom to two dachshunds. I’ve fostered rescue pups and have a soft spot for animals who just need a little extra love on their way to a forever home. I’m excited to be part of AAWS and can’t wait to help more tails wag!

Hi there! I'm Sydney! Driven by a lifelong passion and delicate heart for animals, I am proud to serve as a dedicated member of the Avoyelles Animal Welfare Society. Whether it’s rescuing animals in need, supporting fostering families, or even fostering animals of my own, I am dedicated to bring compassion and care to every animal that I encounter. Being a Registered Nurse who serves as a patient advocate, I believe that all animals deserve the same measure of advocacy, at a minimum, along with love, safety, and dignity. I’ll continue to work every day in order to make that vision a reality (and maybe sneak in a few puppy kisses along the way). Fear not, I have multiple four-legged friends of my own. Ranging from dogs, cats, and rabbits, they are equally unique and special to me in their own little ways. I am honored to serve all animals that walk within and around my community; for my soft heart for animals glows with pure bliss.

My name is Olivia, I’m a Family Nurse Practitioner and animal lover. I was born, raised, and still reside in the beautiful town of Cottonport. I’ve always had a deep love for animals, ever since I was a kid. Growing up, I always had an arsenal of pets and was told by everyone that they were certain I would become a veterinarian. That passion has stayed with me throughout the years—still welcoming any and all animals in need.
Hi, I’m Lorin — a wife, mom of three, and lifelong animal lover. My four-legged babies include three dogs and three horses, who remind me every day why this work matters. My passion for animals runs deep, and I believe every animal deserves a second chance at life, love, and a safe place to call home. That’s exactly what the Avoyelles Animal Welfare Society is all about, and why I’m so honored to be a part of this mission. Whether it’s rescuing, rehabilitating, or simply showing compassion, I’m dedicated to making a difference for the voiceless.
