Let's ALL celebrate and support our eighth-grade students in their journey together here at AMS before high school begins!

Dress Code: Dress to Impress (see details below)

EVENT THEME
Our eighth-grade students voted on this year's theme and the winner is.... Light It Up! This fun evening will be filled with great music, games, raffles, activities, food, and much more!

CHAPERONES NEEDED - CHAPERONES STILL NEEDED!
We have the following critical needs to ensure a safe and successful evening for our students. Please consider volunteering for a one-hour time slot! We need volunteers by end of day, June 2nd!

Large Gym - 4 people per shift - shifts 7-8, 8-9. 9-10

Small Gym - 2 people per shift - shifts 6-7, 7-8, 8-9, 9-10

Boys Restroom Monitor - 2 people per shift- shifts 6-7, 7-8, 8-9, 9-10

Girls Restroom Monitor - 2 people per shift - shifts 6-7, 7-8, 8-9, 9-10

Front Door - 2 people - 9-10pm

Food Service - 2 people - 9-10pm

Breakdown Event - 6-8 people 9:30 - 10:30pm

CODE OF CONDUCT
The AMS PTO is sponsoring this year's 2022 8th Grade Celebration - Light It Up! How is this different from other school events? An AMS PTO-sponsored event falls under the 501(c)(3) federally recognized tax-exempt organization. Therefore, doesn't fall under a school event. We respectfully ask that you share the following code of conduct with your students to ensure the safety and well-being of our students. 2022 8th Grade Celebration - Code of Conduct.

DRESS CODE
Dress to impress means that you express self-confidence by dressing and grooming in a manner that shows others you are intelligent, confident, and mature.


COMPLETE GOOGLE FORM - REQUIRED FOR STUDENT TO ATTEND EVENT!
As with any event where children under the age of 18 are involved, we need to collect relevant information in order to ensure the safety of those attending the event. Please complete this 5-minute google form to provide us with important information regarding emergency contact information during event, any known allergies, or other relevant medical considerations. This form must be completed no later than June 1st. We welcome any 8th grade parent/guardian to consider chaperoning at this year's event if your student has any medical or non-medical related concerns and it would make you feel more comfortable being in attendance. TICKET SALES - REQUIRED FOR STUDENT TO ATTEND EVENT!

RAFFLE ITEMS NEEDED
Thank you to everyone who donated towards the 8th Grade Celebration raffle this year!


DROP-OFF/PICK-UP PROCEDURES
DROP-OFF PROCESS - Please proceed to the front circle for drop-off of your student to the event. A registration desk will be outside (inside if inclement weather). We will "check-in" each student. They will receive some goodies and raffle tickets at this time and enter the building.

DURING EVENT - Students will not be able to leave the AMS Building under any circumstances unless accompanied by a parent or police officer. Please refer to the Code of Conduct for further details.

PICK-UP PROCESS - NEW 6/1 -

  1. Parents should arrive and PARK in parking spaces provided around the school grounds beginning at 9:15pm.

  2. A Parent or Authorized Pick-up Designee should come to the front doors of AMS.

  3. Please form a line based on the student's last name.

  4. Provide the student's name(s) to be picked up and your name to the check out volunteer.

  5. Your party will be informed to proceed to check-out tables and the volunteer will check them as dismissed.

  6. Proceed to your vehicle and exit AMS.
