About the AMS PTO
The Mission of the Avon Middle School (AMS) Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is:
To Create the Best Possible Educational Environment & Support for our Students & Educators
What Are Our Goals?
Funding important approved “Wish List” requests as applied for by AMS teachers or staff (such as financially supporting new initiatives, critical “outside of budget” items or refreshing current programs)
Offering resources to effectively assist the needs of AMS by partnering with AMS parent/guardian volunteers
Providing personal connections with our AMS community
Clearly Communicating to the schools’ families and administration to ensure transparency
Collaborating and Working together with AMS leadership and the Student Council to support their goals and needs
Promoting Spirit & Teamwork within our school
How Will We Address these Goals in the 2022-2023 School Year?
Capture One & Almost Done Funds to Establish a PTO Budget for the Academic Year
Utilize the district’s technology to reach out to the AMS Parents/Guardians to Volunteer
Communicate by utilizing the school’s electronic notification systems to relay upcoming events
Maintain an AMS PTO website and Facebook page with timely news feeds
Assist with school dances and 8th grade Class Night as organized by Student Council
