About the AMS PTO

The Mission of the Avon Middle School (AMS) Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is:

To Create the Best Possible Educational Environment & Support for our Students & Educators

What Are Our Goals?

  • Funding important approved “Wish List” requests as applied for by AMS teachers or staff (such as financially supporting new initiatives, critical “outside of budget” items or refreshing current programs)

  • Offering resources to effectively assist the needs of AMS by partnering with AMS parent/guardian volunteers

  • Providing personal connections with our AMS community

  • Clearly Communicating to the schools’ families and administration to ensure transparency

  • Collaborating and Working together with AMS leadership and the Student Council to support their goals and needs

  • Promoting Spirit & Teamwork within our school

How Will We Address these Goals in the 2022-2023 School Year?

  • Capture One & Almost Done Funds to Establish a PTO Budget for the Academic Year

  • Utilize the district’s technology to reach out to the AMS Parents/Guardians to Volunteer

  • Communicate by utilizing the school’s electronic notification systems to relay upcoming events

  • Maintain an AMS PTO website and Facebook page with timely news feeds

  • Assist with school dances and 8th grade Class Night as organized by Student Council
