Build ALegacy Project Scope

Each school in the Avon Lake City School District is unique and offers students a wide variety of opportunities to excel in their academic environment. Below are the schools that will be directly impacted by the Avon Lake Building ALegacy construction project.

Learwood Middle School and Troy Intermediate will be consolidated into a single facility that serves grades 5-8 and is located behind the existing Learwood Middle School.

Building DetailsLearwood Middle School

Learwood Middle School is an academically strong school that serves around 550 students in grades 7-8. The building, which was constructed in 1960, had a gymnasium addition completed in 2010. In addition to promoting academic excellence, the school is adjacent to a track for athletic pursuits, hosts orchestra and band opportunities, and provides space for an innovation lab.

Building DetailsTroy Intermediate School

Troy Intermediate School is an award-winning school serving around 550 students and is home to grades 5-6. The building was constructed in 1965 and hosts a cafeteria space, media center, and spaces for physical education, music, choir, and music exploration.

Eastview, Westview, and Redwood elementary schools will be receiving renovations and mechanical upgrades to improve the indoor learning environment for students and staff. As the project develops, more details surrounding these enhancements will be released.
