Sustainable International Medical Relief Organization (SIMRO) is a NGO based in Gaziantep, Turkey (near Syria). Established in 2014 by a group of Syrian doctors (including Dr. Khaled Almilaji the Chairman).We are a non-profit organization who is providing medical relief, medical education, and health information systems in disasters zones and creating solutions to facilitate humanitarian operations. We are currently working on building an underground hospital in the war area, and we hope that we could have your support.We are working on evaluating the security of existing field health facilities in Syria and providing safe facilities for health workers and patients.

- Build Avicenna Women and Children’s referral hospital in rebel-controlled territories (where health care system has been destroyed by the Assad regime), with multiple operating rooms and Telehealth communications.
- Needs and Population Monitoring - 2015, in coordination with International Organization of Migration (IOM).
- Project goals:
- Obtain population statistics
- Monitor the movement of the displaced population inside Syria
- Assess the needs of the population in the conflict zone in Syria

- Setting up Health Information System (HIS) in the cities of Idleb, Hama, and Aleppo to connect all health facilities with NGOs and the UNOCHA (U.N. Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs) Health Cluster in Turkey
- Setting up primary health care centers that deliver health services to Syrians in besieged areas in Syria
Refugee Protection International (RPI) is an NGO partner to SIMRO to improve the availability of quality maternal and child health services for conflict-affected civilians in Idlib Province, Syria. Together the project seeks to help address the lack of safe, highly equipped underground MCH centers and skilled staff.
