Where is Avery Mountain Ranches?

We are located in the Coast Range of southwestern Oregon, about 15 miles from the Pacific Ocean near Powers, Oregon. We primarily hunt the Sixes unit with some property in the Powers unit as well.

What is the terrain like?

The terrain is steep and mountainous with areas of rolling prairie ground. Accommodations can be made for all.

What equipment and gear are needed?

Your firearm or bow of choice and seasonal personal gear.

What are the rules and regulations?

Contact Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife at www.dfw.state.or.us for rules and regulations pertaining to your specific hunt.

How do I get a tag?

Tags must be purchased before start the of the season. Must apply for controlled hunt applications in early May through www.dfw.state.or.us. If unsuccessful in the draw, landowner preference tags are available for Roosevelt elk.

How many other hunters can I expect on my hunt?

This is exclusive and limited to your party. Hunts are restricted to ensure quality and success in this private land hunt area.

How much experience is necessary?

Hunts are available for all experience and physical ability levels. Just let us know what you need.
