Having Will shoot our engagement photos and wedding was a true blessing. All the pictures came out better than we could imagine, and the turnaround was amazingly fast. We have now started booking him for any major family photo opportunity and each time we are ecstatic with the results.

Will is a very talented photographer! We had Will booked for our wedding photo shooting in New York City. We had a fun day and the photos are amazing. We cant stop looking at them and also everyone we show the photos to is very impressed. Will captured the light perfectly, always had great ideas for photos and an eye for the right situation. We really enjoyed the photo shooting and can highly recommend working with Will.

When most people think of basketball senior pictures, they immediately think of taking them in a gym. This is great for some sessions, but I love taking my seniors to an urban location and usually ask them to bring their jersey and a ball (and their game face of course) for a different spin on sports photos.

July 29, 1985: On a hot summer day with temperatures in the mid 80s, Penny Ann Beerntsen is attacked around 3:50 p.m.while jogging alone along the Lake Michigan shoreline north of Two Rivers by a scraggly haired man in a leather jacket. The man pulled out a knife and forced her into a wooded area. He sexually assaults her, beats her and leaves her bloodied. At the hospital, Beernsten describes her rapist. Deputy sheriff Judy Dvorak makes a comment that the attacker sounded like Avery. Because of this statement, Manitowoc County Sheriff Tom Kocourek asks for Avery's photo to be included in a photo line up.

From her hospital bed, the victim reviews nine photos. Avery's photo was in the middle. After she identifies Avery, the sheriff tells her he was going to arrest him. (The photo line up did not include her attacker Gregory Allen.)

Oct. 31, 2005: Free-lance photographer Teresa Halbach of St. John in Calumet County, vanishes. That day, she had three appointments to photograph vehicles for sale for Auto Trader magazine. The Avery Auto Salvage was slated to be her last stop of the day.

Nov. 8, 2005: On the fourth day of the investigation at Avery's, authorities find a number of clues to shore up their case targeting Avery for Halbach's murder: a spare key for Halbach's RAV4 is found on the carpet near Avery's bed by Manitowoc County sheriff Sgt. Andrew Colborn and Det. Lt. James Lenk; Halbach's missing license plates turn up inside an abandoned station wagon that had its windows broken out; a couple of charred human bones are spotted by Manitowoc County Sheriff's Sgt. Jason Jost near Avery's burn pile pit. Manitowoc and Calumet County authorities decide not to alert Manitowoc County Coroner Deb Kakatsch to the discovery of the human bones. No photographs or videotape is made showing where the human bones were found.

With over 26,000 followers and growing, Jos Avery's Instagram account has a trick up its sleeve. While it may appear to showcase stunning photo portraits of people, they are not actually people at all. Avery has been posting AI-generated portraits for the past few months, and as more fans praise his apparently masterful photography skills, he has grown nervous about telling the truth.

Avery emphasizes that while his images are not actual photographs (except two, he says), they still require a great deal of artistry and retouching on his part to pass as photorealistic. To create them, Avery initially uses Midjourney, an AI-powered image synthesis tool. He then combines and retouches the best images using Photoshop.

With Midjourney, anyone can pay a subscription fee for the privilege of generating art from text-based descriptions, called "prompts." Midjourney's creators taught the AI model how to synthesize images by showing it millions of examples of art from other artists. It can generate stunning photorealistic images that can fool some people into thinking they're real photos, especially if retouched later.

Soon after Avery's Instagram feed launched in October, positive comments about his fake photos began pouring in. "All I can say is: Your art is somehow unique, very unique, also very precious; you are actually telling paramount stories to the viewer using your cams," wrote one commenter four weeks ago. "Setting novel highlights in contemporary photography IMHO! Your work is a great delight to mind and soul."

Up until very recently, when asked, Avery was either vague about how he created the images or told people his works were actual photographs, even going so far as to describe which kind of camera he used to create them ("a Nikon D810 with 24-70mm lens"). But guilt began to build as his popularity grew.

Avery also hoodwinks via his hashtags which are populated with photo indicators like #blackandwhitephotography, #portrait, #portraitphotography, et cetera. He occasionally uses #AI or #digitalart but they are lost in a sea of hashtags that bona fide photographers use.

When he becomes intoxicated at Ethan and Avery's engagement party, Noah winds up in the photo booth he used with her on their first meeting and drunkenly operates it before falling asleep.
