Mile One Records (M1R) is a Boston-based music corporation focused on artist development, production, sync licensing, and release execution for emerging talent. Founded at Berklee College of Music, the company operates with a cross-university team including members from Berklee, Harvard, Emerson, Northeastern, Babson, and other Boston institutions, working together to build a professional, industry-level environment for independent artists.

Mile One Records functions as a hybrid between a record label, creative studio, and artist services company. When recordings or visual assets are produced by M1R, they are handled through shared production ownership rather than traditional label control.

In addition to artist development, Mile One Records operates a sync licensing and music supervision branch focused on connecting independent artists with film, television, and media projects. The company works closely with film students, directors, and content creators to provide pre-cleared music for placements, while also developing original scoring and custom music solutions. This division was created to bridge the gap between emerging filmmakers and independent artists, providing a streamlined licensing process similar to professional sync agencies.
