‘FROM AVEBURY TO AKITA: some Japanese and British thoughts on living with ancient monuments in the countryside’
Our annual lecture for 2025 will be given by the archaeologist, Professor Kaner, who is the Executive Director of the Sainsbury Institute for the Study of Japanese Arts and Cultures at the University of East Anglia in Norwich.
Drinks and blinis will be provided and the talk will be accompanied by a display focused on Akita and some of those who have been drawn to Avebury.
Open to Avebury Society members and non-members for £5.
