Serving as a student leader in Model United Nations has been an enriching and transformative experience, allowing me to engage deeply with global issues and develop my skills in diplomacy, research, and public speaking. As part of my leadership role, I contributed to organizing our school’s inaugural Model UN conference by writing a comprehensive background guide to prepare delegates for meaningful discussions. I have also included a photo from the award ceremony at SASMUN 2023, where my contributions were recognized, as well as my Harvard Model UN position paper from 2024, showcasing my ability to craft well-researched arguments on complex international topics. Additionally, I submitted an essay to the ILMUNC 2025 essay contest that connects the October 2024 Valencia floods to the Lisbon Earthquake of 1755, reflecting my interest in historical patterns and their relevance to modern global challenges. These experiences exemplify how my work in Model UN aligns with the interdisciplinary and global focus of the Global Scholars program, fostering a comprehensive understanding of international relations and historical context.
