The senior researchers also have a track record of successfully organizing in-person and virtual workshops on diverse subjects such as user experience, AV teleoperation, social interaction in traffic, and control transition in AVs. Felix Tener is a PhD researcher and a lecturer in the Information Systems department at the University of Haifa. Felix’s research focuses on designing novel interfaces for the teleoperation of autonomous vehicles. Felix received his MS from Georgia Institute of Technology and his BS from the Technion.
Andreas Schrank is a Human Factors researcher and PhD candidate at the German Aerospace Center (DLR), Institute of Transportation Systems. His research revolves around user-centered design and evaluation of human-machine interfaces for remote operation systems. Andreas received his BS from Bamberg University and his MS from Heidelberg University.
Philipp Wintersberger is a Professor of Interactive Systems at the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria. He researches and designs systems to strengthen the cooperation between humans and machines, emphasizing safety-critical systems such as automated vehicles. His research fields include trust in automation, operator AR/VR support, Attention Management, and UX.
Shadan Sadeghian is an Assistant Professor in the Interactive Autonomous Systems group at the University of Siegen. Her research centers on designing user experiences and interactions with automated systems. She explores approaches that balance pragmatic and hedonic qualities in interacting with automation.
