Mario Kart
Our Mario Kart project is a fully working electric kart built by the Automotive Club and inspired by the iconic game vehicle design. The build was based on a pedal kart frame, which we redesigned and reinforced to support an electric drivetrain and custom components. Starting from this simple mechanical base allowed us to focus on engineering upgrades such as mounting systems, power integration, and controls, transforming a human-powered chassis into a powered student-built vehicle while keeping the fun, recognizable Mario
Red-Bug
Our Red Bug replica is inspired by the original Auto Red Bug from 1925, an early compact vehicle designed for simple and accessible personal transport. The original model is notable for being one of the first small-scale electric vehicles of its time. Our version recreates the spirit and design of the 1925 Red Bug while using modern components and student-built engineering to bring this historic concept back to life.
Moon Buggy
Based on the Lunar Roving Vehicle (LRV), this project focuses on designing and building a functional Moon Buggy inspired by NASA’s original rover. By recreating key design concepts of the Lunar Rover, the project highlights innovation, mechanical skill, and hands-on learning rather than history.
