Inline Connections
Below I have displayed just a few of the most common symbols you need to know, to properly combine the knowledge you know about conventional theory and electrical. These common symbols are the basic necessities in electrical (Power, Switch, Load, and Ground)
Please remember that these are the orientation of how the wires are connected in the circuit. You must determine which side needs to be checked in diagnosis depending on the wiring diagram and the concern.
Here we have a basic inline connector. We can get the following information from this model.
· Connector X493
· Terminal B
· Top to bottom is Female to Male
· Circuit Number 19
· Wire color
o D-GN (Dark Green)
o YE (Yellow)
Here we have an inline connector with a dashed line. This dashed line indicates that these wires are all in the same connector. We can get the following information from this model.
· Connector X111
· Terminal’s D, E, B
· Top to bottom is Female to Male
· Circuit Number’s 712, 711, 14
· Wire color’s
o OG (Orange)
o PK (Pink)
o L-BU (Light Blue)
Here we have an inline connector without a number. This indicates that it is connected directly to the component, for this example directly to the Outside Rearview Mirror-Driver. We can get the following information from this model.
· Connector N/A (Not applicable)
· Terminal’s B, C, A
· Top to bottom is Male to Female connection.
· Circuit Number’s 89, 329, 81
· Wire color’s
o L-GN (Light Green)
o YE (Yellow)
o WH/BK (White/Black) Coupe*
o WH (White) Sedan*
