Meet the Author!
Emberly Wriedt is a Texas-based author with a passion for emotionally intense romance, unforgettable characters, and stories that aren't afraid to get messy. Currently a high school student while simultaneously studying Allied Health at a local college, she spends most of her free time writing, reading, or dreaming up her next plot twist.
Frustrated by how difficult it was to find dark, dramatic romances that focused on emotion, suspense, and healing rather than explicit content, Emberly decided to write the kinds of books she wanted to read. Her stories explore love, trauma, resilience, family, and hope, proving that romance can be both gripping and deeply emotional without relying on graphic scenes.
Beyond writing, Emberly loves creating in all forms and is always working on a new project. She believes AI can be a useful editing resource when financial or accessibility barriers make professional services difficult to obtain, but she believes stories themselves should come from the imagination and creativity of the author.

My best friend!
Lily is one of my closest friends and one of the people who has had the biggest impact on both my life and my writing. We've been friends for over four years, and throughout that time she has been one of my loudest supporters. No matter how impossible something seemed, she always reminded me that I was capable of finishing it. When I doubted myself, she believed enough for both of us.
Writing a book is exciting, but it's also incredibly overwhelming. There were countless moments when I felt stuck, questioned whether my stories were good enough, or seriously considered giving up. Lily never let that happen. She has a way of encouraging me without making it feel forced, constantly pushing me to keep going while reminding me why I started in the first place. Her confidence in me has been one of the biggest reasons these books made it from ideas in my head to actual pages.
Beyond being an amazing friend, Lily is someone who makes the people around her feel supported. She celebrates every accomplishment, no matter how small, and somehow always knows the right thing to say when someone needs encouragement. She's the kind of person who genuinely wants to see others succeed, and I've been incredibly lucky to have her in my corner throughout this journey.

Behind every author trying to figure out social media is someone wondering, "Why did you text me like that?" For me, that's my little sister, Izzy Wriedt.
Izzy has been the absolute MVP of my publishing journey. While I'm chronically online, I somehow still text like a grandma, and she's the one who actually understands BookTok. From brainstorming content ideas to helping manage my social media, she's been there every step of the way.
More importantly, she's been my biggest cheerleader. There were plenty of moments when I questioned whether I could actually finish writing my first novel, and Izzy simply refused to let me give up. Her encouragement, excitement, and unwavering belief in me played a huge part in getting Soft Things Don't Survive across the finish line.
So if you enjoy my social media, there's a very good chance you have Izzy to thank for it.
