AcouTester is a real-time acoustic spectrum analyzer. It captures audio from any available input device, computes a calibrated SPL spectrum using a Fast Fourier Transform (FFT), and displays it on a logarithmic frequency axis (20 Hz – 20 kHz).

System requirements
• Operating systems: Windows 7 SP1 (32-bit or 64-bit), Windows 8/8.1, Windows 10 and Windows 11.
• Runtime: .NET Framework 4.8. It is built into Windows 10 (version 1903 and newer) and Windows 11. On Windows 7 SP1 it must be installed separately, and its installer needs the SHA-2 code-signing update for Windows 7 to be present.
• Architecture: the program is built for x86, so it runs natively on 32-bit systems and under WOW64 on 64-bit ones. This also matters for ASIO, because many popular ASIO drivers (ASIO4ALL, for example) are 32-bit.
• Hardware: any audio interface with a line or microphone input. To obtain meaningful results, connect the interface output to its input via the device under test, or use a loopback cable to connect the output directly to the input for a self-test.

liteTester is a compact FFT-based audio analyzer. It generates a sine test tone, captures the signal that comes back through the device under test, and shows the spectrum with a set of distortion metrics in real time. It is a stripped-down relative of the Oscillyzer module of the AuTester suite. It keeps the analysis engine and the psychoacoustic metrics but drops the generators and heavy tooling, so it runs on very modest hardware.
The program targets two groups. One is hobbyists and engineers who need a quick check of a sound card, DAC, preamplifier or amplifier. The other is owners of older machines, where a 32-bit Windows 7 PC can be turned into a dedicated measurement station.
