History of this website
The Ruskauff-Freker website, designed by earlydues in 2002, had a visitor count of 3,263 when the site was discontinued in April 2010. The reason for closing the Ruskauff-Freker website was it was too much work to keep it updated. On March 4, 2006, I began a new site called "Auswanderer - from Bavaria, Bohemia and Bukovina" hosted at Google Pages. In 2008, Google Pages announced it would discontinue their free web page service. The visitor count was 1,382 when I moved my pages to Google Sites in August 2008. The "Auswanderer - from Bavaria, Bohemia and Bukovina" website, hosted at Google Sites, was created August 11, 2008. On August 6, 2020, Google announced that classic "sites" would change to a" new sites" causing some attachments and features to no longer work. I then started to redo every page, and in the process, took some pages offline.
Then came a warning from Google about copyright issues, and they took a Mohelnitzky family page offline. I decided to start all over, but with minimal information on a new Auswanderer website. Family information and pictures once appearing at my site will be uploaded to the world tree at FamilySearch.org. I took down the entire Auswanderer20 site at Google Sites on January 12, 2025, and began with a new "continued" website at Weebly on January 13, 2025. However, since Weebly was a new learning opportunity that I would rather not face, I went back to Google Sites on January 15, 2025, but with a new URL https://sites.google.com/view/auswanderer2025 and a shortened name, Auswanderer.Â
